"All Texas public colleges and universities will accept up to 66 credit hours from community colleges, but some will accept more. Your academic advisor can help you choose courses that will transfer."

Is this true? I'm glad I saw this because I WILL have 54 after Spring and was going to to take 8 Credits for Summer and 12-14 Credits for Fall 2012.

Anyone Transfer with more?

I'm hoping to here back specifically for Texas A&M University.

Transfer From DCCCD

After a quick search of A&M’s website:

Courses taken at junior or community colleges cannot transfer as advanced hours (course numbers beginning with a 3 or 4 indicates advanced hours). The applicability of transferred credit toward a degree is subject to the preparation of an Advisement Guide within an academic department. Students must complete a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours from an upper division institution. While all credit hours presented on the sending institution’s transcripts will be evaluated and equivalent college-level courses posted to the students academic record, a maximum of sixty-six (66) semester credit hours from a junior of community college may be applied towards degree requirements.

College preparatory course work in remedial math, reading and writing are not transferable and do not satisfy college-level requirements at A&M.
