What is the most impacted engineer major in order?

Please give me the list

Thank you!

Since all Engineering majors are capped (impacted), you should assume all are difficult admits. Based on how difficult it is to change into CSE if not accepted directly since it is done by lottery, I would put CSE as the most difficult followed by Bioengineering.

UCSD admits into the University first and then into the major so if you are applying to any capped major, you should select an alternate non-capped major as a backup.

You should pick the major that most interests you regardless of admission difficulty.

I’m a local. With a weighted csu gpa of 3.71 and sat of 1110. I was wondering of my chances of getting in electrical engineering or computer engineer.

UC’s do not give local preference. Your chances for any Engineering majors at UCSD are very low. Consider UCSD a High Reach for Engineering.

With a CSU/UC capped weighted GPA of 3.71, the admit rate was 7.2% in 2017. For competitive/capped majors, it would much less.

SAT 25th-75th percentiles for 2018:
1250-1470 and for Engineering assume at least 1400.

You need to consider some of the Cal States and possibly UC Merced.
