Get the least amount possible, Don’t buy-up. Just don’t. I can’t think of a single good reason to buy-up. Dinning Dollars (meal points) aren’t refundalbe and only usable at UCSD run dinning halls and markets. No co-ops, or franchises take them. You can always use cash or if you want your money set aside for food you can just get triton cash, which you can use pretty much any where on campus and a few off campus places and get a discount when you use it, and it’s refundable anytime.

I agree with those who posted above. There’s no good reason to buy up. If you happen to run out of dining dollars at the end of the year many students with extra sell theirs for $.80/$1 dining dollar or $.60/$1 dining dollar.

Buying dining credit from students is not really practical; however, you can always buy Triton cash and use it with a 10% discount at dining halls. Triton cash doesn’t expire and can be used in places other than dining halls.
