What is the most prestigious summer program?

It also includes those that have passed

RSI, of course. Hands-down, in my book.

I’ve heard RSI as well. However, what makes people think/say RSI is the best? Is it that it is at mit, high selectivity, high number of winners in science fairs or what? Does it have a good learning experience or it is just we are mit, so everyone wants to come, so we get the best, so now they will win awards and make us look good? Just wondering.

PS I applied to RSI and want to go (but not necessarily for the prestige)

I think you have to narrow that question to a specific area of academic interest. RSI would not be the “most prestigious” for a violinist, ballerina, fine artist, or actor.

I got selected to interview TASP. but none of my school’s teachers or students know what it is. And even TASP wouldn’t carry much weight since a lot of attendees got rejected from their first choice colleges

Getting a job

Piedpilko - you read my mind :)! Good old fashioned work! Pump some gas, scoop some ice cream or bus a table. Real world experience looks great on the college application!

I got a job already. then I quit. because I feel that i wasn’t treated right

If you really weren’t treated right, there are always other jobs.

If you quit because you “weren’t treated right”, I don’t have any advice.

You wouldn’t know
I’ve been looking for another, yet in this economy, my effort’s been futile

I’m not even going to try to respond to that.

By the way, my last post appears not to have appeared. RSI is prestigious because it is highly selective, well-known, produces many Ivy Leaguers, award winners, etc.

RSI first, TASP second
