^ So… also doctors, farm workers, fishers, etc?

I’m with lemon /thread since only about 1/3 of these have actually been jobs.

someone who packs fudge all day.

Professional baby seal clubbers. It’s a terrible thing.

Prostitute

^^ Illegal in most places but not really unethical. Ordinary people sell their abilities for a paycheck. Prostitutes just sell their goodies.

Selling drugs to kids and telling them its candy

@sleep4me

How is that even remotely the same thing…

Say you work on a construction site…you’re selling your muscles in exchange for money. Prostitution is selling a different set of muscles for money. Same thing.

On a construction site people are often replaced by machines.

Prostitutes can also be replaced by machines.

Have I fulfilled “remotely” yet?

Priests.

At some point you have to realize how ridiculous every thing you are saying is, but you still have to preach it to the gullible masses.

Even worse I guess would be someone in the Scientology Church.

How about SEC coach/AD. That whole conference is full of cheating and rule bending.

^^ Eye roll. Ironically enough pretty much every law and ethical guideline has a religious root.

Oh I meant the “put every animal on a boat part” not the “don’t kill others part”.

I meant the stories that are thought to be real, that’s ridiculous.

The moral lessons from those stories, most of them, are good though.

@purpleduckman, you ever think that a priest could be one of those many “gullible” people?

Legal? Abortionist

Illegal? Human Trafficker

Marketing.

I wonder how many marketers wake up every day hating themselves.

Being a Priest is not unethical.

It was only time until someone brought up a religious position…
time to leave

Please remember that political posts are not allowed on CC. I had to delete several.

Yeah I’d say being a marketer of certain products, especially tobacco. I’m not one of those smokers who blames marketing for why I smoke today, but man, you’ve gotta be a real piece of work to try and get people to buy a product that is very harmful to them (since all marketing is supposed to try and get you to buy/do stuff).

Private military contractor is also somewhat unethical if you ask me. Unlike plain old defense companies, a mercenary basically depends on war and empire. If I ran the country and cut defense spending so that it would once again be primarily for defending our country rather than invading other countries, PMCs would dry up.

^Unfortunately I doubt they would dry up even with that…as long as there is war they will keep on going. Oh don’t cut defense spending…my paycheck is in there :(
