Yeah, that’s the big downside of defense cuts… good honest soldiers do lose their jobs. But IIRC the military essentially “buys out” soldiers when they get laid off, no? It sucks and I have the utmost respect for the military but I don’t think it warrants the gigantic amount of spending. Anyway that’s all I’ll say as I don’t want to politicize this thread any more than necessary.

Well that depends on time served and how you were discharged. RIF (Reduction In Force) is normally an Honorable Discharge…I am not quite sure on what you get (if anything) for 3-4 years in…I haven’t really looked into it since I just started.

Just my honest opinion, I think of some politicians, some lawyers, and some real estate agents.

Most used cars salesman. Tons of people male and female (but especially female) drive their cars 30k miles and then sell them; all without ever even bothering to change the oil. The used car salesman sees that he’s dealing with mechanical idiots and then says “oh you didn’t change the oil, I’ll give you $5k” and then turns around and sells the thing for $15k and says it’s in perfect condition.

hahaha yes @ sleep4me

Salesmen…

So its unethical to propose something ridiculous to someone and then have them accept it because they ignorant about it. That covers a lot of sales people.

And everyone listen to MaineLonghorn… all business there ;)

^^ Good luck discovering that the car has been driven into the ground until you’ve gone 10k miles in it and it needs a new engine. There’s some things where you realistically have to take someone’s word on it unless you feel like having a metallurgical analysis done for every car you’re considering buying.

I say “show me the carfax”

Except carfax reports rarely show more than the fact that the car has been to the DMV. The exception I know of is some Mercedes dealers do make a note on the carfax whenever they do any service and what the service was.

/off topic

Big vote goes to people who work in slaughterhouses. When you read books like “The Ethics of What We Eat,” you really see how horrible (and unethical) some workers are when it comes to killing animals.

Some of the workers are sadistic but for the most part I feel sorry for them. That has got to be the worst job ever.

No. You did not fulfill remotely.

I’m sorry. You’re really reaching with your examples.
