What is The National Society of High School Students?

<p>I just got some crappy postcard about the national society of High School scholars. No idea what it is and its probably not worth much. But I'm just wondering what exactly is this and did anyone else get something like this?</p>

<p>I got it today also. Looks like a scam; you have to pay to join and the website is very vague. They probably send it out to people who take the PSAT/SAT.</p>

<p>Claus Nobel chairs the organisation and their functions are quite nice…good scholarship opportunities as well.</p>

<p>Haha, it’s not a scam. I have their sticker on my laptop right now, actually. Granted, it’s definitely not worth much in the scheme of things, but it’s legit.</p>

<p>You don’t <em>have</em> to pay for it, they have fee waivers, but from what I read it isn’t worth it if you do (I also got a post card :P)</p>

<p>I got it to. I hope it isn’t a scam because I was really bummed out when I just barely missed the requirements for National Honor Society at my school. There’s no way this is based off of PSAT scores, or else there would be no way in hell I would get it lol. What does everyone else think of it?</p>

<p>It’s not getting you in anywhere. But I think there are potential benefits if you get involved in the program. Just don’t sign up and call it an “honor”.</p>
