What is the normal College Procedure for attending college?

<p>Hi Folks,
I need some help here. And i need detailed and procedural information. I am new to USA and do not know the protocols involved. All i can say is i have completed and graduated high school in another country. You can continue the steps from here. I want to start college in September or what you would say as fall semester. Is it possible to start this year or until next year?</p>

<p>Please list the general outline that one would follow, the correct time of the year where the activities occur that you will mention, deadlines etc. Include info about SAT, College application process, applying for financial aid/ loans and any other relevant steps etc.</p>

<p>Go to any college website and they will tell you the deadlines and details needed to successfully apply. Each also has financial info and some even have a special section for international students info.</p>

<p>Fall-Winter: Applications are due, transcripts, SAT scores, FAFSA.
Later Winter: FAFSA, etc.</p>
