<p>My S gets the regent scholarship form UCLA. He is also accepted by Cal, Yale and Stanford. I just not sure what is the reputation of UCLA's regent scholarship outside UCLA. From reputation point of view, is it better go to UCLA with the scholarshp or go to the other schools without merit scholarshp?</p>
<p>I'd pick UCLA regents over Cal, but Yale and Stanford definitely have a better reputation. I would choose either of those unless money is really an issue.</p>
<p>I second what Brandnew said. If I had been accepted to my top picks (Princeton, Columbia, Stanford), I would leave my regent scholarship in a heartbeat.</p>
