What is the right University for me?

Okay, so I've been doing research into Universities/Colleges, but I'm still stumped as to where I want to apply for transfer for Fall 2010. Anyone mind helping me out? Yes? GREAT!

Let's begin. I'm looking for a College/University with the following:

In a City (Large)

East or West Coast

Good ranking

Good engineering program

High Transfer?

High Diversity (ex. NOT 80% Whites, etc)

Thanks, oh and schools I've been looking to that interest me are, NYU, BU, USC, Northeastern, GWU among others.

Georgia Tech?

I second Georgia Tech - probably the most reasonable public college with a reasonable acceptance rate and top tier education…

I’ll look into Georgia Tech but right now I’m not feeling it, you know? Any more suggestions?

Why would you want to go to NYU for engineering? I don’t think they even have an engineering program.

we just acquired Polytechnic, so technically we have an engineering program now. now it’s NYU-Poly.

Yeah I was referring to NYU-POLY, sorry I wasn’t clear on that. But NYU-POLY shows great potential.

Bump…? 10 char

did you visit Poly? just wondering cuz we had an open house recently.

so, I think NYU-Poly fits your criteria. well. I know it does, perfectly. it’s weird. I don’t know anyone who’s looked for that exact criteria before in a school; it’s quite uncanny. it’s a TOP diverse school - one of the most diverse in the country. like #4. it’s in Brooklyn Heights, and I know a number of transfers. and working at Poly Undergrad, I know we receive a lot of transfer apps too.

and maybe RPI, VT, GT. Not sure about RPI or VT because I don’t know their locations though.

RPI seems like a good school but I’m second-guessing the location. Small town. Eh. VT and GT to south for me.
