<p>What is the code for? I was sending the sat scores to the college I am applying for and I notice that the letter i receieved from the college said that their sat code is this and that. </p>
<p>When you are applying to colleges, you may need to send in your official SAT report to those colleges. The code is so that you can send the report.</p>
<p>Collegeboard never needed the code, I just looked up the name and thats it.</p>
<p>The number is just so you don’t have to spend time looking for it. If you have the number, it leads you directly to it, but yes searching for it works as well.</p>
