If there is a substantial difference between first term grades and the grades in your mid-year report (higher or lower), could that significantly influence your decision?
Probably depends on how significant. Colleges want to see that your performance is consistent, but understand that there is going to be reasonable variation. They don’t want to see a significant drop due to senioritis. Some schools defer EA applicants sometimes pending their mid-year reports too, and I suspect an increase would be in those student’s best interest.
