<p>I am in the situation where my parents make $110k but have boatloads of debt that prevent them from paying for my college out of pocket. I have calculated or EFC to be around 24k if I'm doing this right. I currently have a 4.0 and plan to get very good SATs, plus a bunch of extracurriculars including Eagle Scout, NHS, Science National Honor Society, and Math National Honor Society, so I'm gunning for the 24k scholarship at least, hopefully the Singer (fingers crossed). So, my question is, how much does the UMiami grant for financial aid cover? I should be elligible for state awards, but I'm just not sure how much the UMiami grant would be. Anyone know how they figure it out?</p>
