What is the vision for UA?

<p>The school’s enrollment has gone up considerably, there’s a lot of new construction, and there’s a concerted effort to attract top-notch students nationally, but what is the overall vision?</p>

<p>Are there published 5 or 10 years plans? If so, where can I find them?</p>

<p>I actually called the president’s office a couple of weeks ago. The woman I spoke with was uncomfortable with my questions and offered to forward me to admissions. I told her I didn’t want to speak to admissions. She put me on hold for a while and when she came back on the line she asked for my name and number. I haven’t gotten a call back yet.</p>

<p>I think I read someplace that UA wants to be the Berkeley or Michigan of the South. Don’t know if that’s true.</p>

<p>If the person who answered the phone was a secretary or similar than she may not have known how to properly answer those questions.</p>

<p>If I remember correctly, Bama met its original goals EARLY, which is why it created an updated Master Plan. </p>

<p>and, the new SEC phases have completed on schedule, with the last phase scheduled to complete this summer…on time as well. bama has done an amazing job meeting schedules for various projects. Unlike other places, projected completions don’t seem to have delays.</p>
