What is the weighted average? Can anyone tell me?

In other words, how I can calculate my weighted GPA?

It is the same as unweighted but with an extra grade point for A/B/C in honors/AP.

Thanks Gospy

That is not entirely correct. Different high schools calculate weighted GPAs in different fashions, and colleges generally recalculate GPAs with their own systems.

That doesn't change the fact that you get an extra grade point for honors/AP. It just depends on the definition of honors and what is approved.

No, that is not right. There are many systems that factor in +.333 for honors/AP classes, and I've heard of a couple that factor in +.500.

At my school, regular classes are 4.0A/3.0B/etc.
Accelerated classes are 4.5A/3.5B/etc.
AP classes are 5.0A/4.0B/etc.

You add up all of those and divide by the number of courses you have.

Using your method, I would have a 4.175 weighted. Is that any good?

Unweighted it is disgusting...

3.408
