What is there to do at Bing besides staying in the dorms?

Anybody tell me what productive things are available off the campus in the town?
Are there skiing places up in the upstate over the winter?

Seriously, I don't want to get so bored over the weekends.

How often does transportation that takes Bing students run?

Transportation between Binghamton and NJ was one of my concerns when my son was considering this school Here is information on the two bus lines that serve Binghamton

[Short Line Bus](Welcome to ShortLine | CoachUSA)

[Greyhound Home](Greyhound: Affordable Bus Tickets Across US, Canada & Mexico)

There’s a ski resort nearby. I believe it’s about an hr away. You shouldn’t worry about being bored over the course of the weekend because there’s always something to do and depending on your major you’re not going to be having too much free time…

There are plenty of things to do. You can go out to the frats (if you enjoy that), club meetings, gather with you friends, go out to eat, order in, bake, play video/board games, go to the library, read, watch tv or a movie, dance, etc. Late Nite Binghamton is pretty good, sometimes have interesting activities. There is a bowling alley on campus, as well as pool and pin pong tables. Even some arcade video games too. If there snow on the grounds, go sledding, skiing, snowboarding or build an igloo or have a snow ball fight. Seriously you’re limited by your imagination
