What do you guys do for fun?

Oh jeez I could go on forever.

As a freshmen I went to the frats a bit, a dance club called Players (everyone that goes to UNC that is reading this is laughing right now), and kind of whatever parties we could find.

As a sophomore I’ve gotten more involved in various organizations, so I go to house/apartment parties thrown by those people. I also have a lot of older friends turning 21, so there are plenty of parties related to that. It has gotten to the point where I have TOO many different parties to go to and have to pick and choose. Definitely didn’t have that problem last year.

Other than partying of course, there’s plenty of other fun things to do. There are concerts and shows around CH, I definitely recommend WXYC’s dances. They show free movies in the Union too and there are guest lectures all the time.

You never have to be bored if you don’t want to be.

Hooray for Players. And the fund raising nights that every organization has there every week.

I’m not a partier, but I have never been bored at UNC. There are plenty of concerts, free movies, and great lecturers. Lewis Black is going to be here in a couple of weeks. Honestly, I think Maya Angelou was the most entertaining speaker that UNC will have for quite some time.

Other than that, the IM sports scene is also really good. Someone told me that 2000+ people played IM soccer this past fall. That is an eighth of the university, which is ridiculous, but completely plausible.

Beyond that, you can always hang out with your friends, and different clubs have random events as well. A couple of weeks ago I celebrated Holi, and Indian religious festival, by going onto the quad and throwing water and colored powder/paint on 300 strangers.

There are lots of good things going on at Chapel Hill. I would take heather’s comment one step further and say that you would have try to be bored in order to get bored.
