what is this? :/

what does it mean when they declined me to college of letters and science, but accept me to their general studies program?

bottom line: accepted or rejected?

sorry im new at this i dont know what anything means haha and I havent actually seen the letter cause im on break and my mom called me today to tell me the news

bottom line accepted

two-year program where you take half your classes, and if you maintain a 3.0 gpa, get transfered into the college you originally applied to.

YAY!!! accepted!!! :D thanks!!!! 3.0. that's probably a lot harder to maintain in college, huh?

o btw I have one more question.. is this the same as being waitlisted? which one is better?

waitlisted = not accepted (yet)

general studies program = accepted

the waitlist might be better in that you automatically go straight into your program IF you get accepted. but you're not even secured admittance. so if all you want to do is get into nyu, the general studies program is better. if you really want to challenge yourself right off the bat (the general studies is supposedly easier and designed to help you get a better feel for school) then the waitlist is kind of better. but again, you still would have to get in.

I would trade my wait list for an acceptance to GSP. Well congratulations on getting in m1234
