In my CC, there is uc berkeley tap , and I want to know what is this. I saw on the internet that it is for low-income people, but is it true?
If I want to transfer to berkeley, is it a good opportunity to join in this program?

Yes, if you qualify it’s a great opportunity. 85% chance of admission is much better than ~25%.

I’m in it. It’s invitation only unless you can contact the director, I think his name is Keith Schoon. It’s generally for first generation, low income, and minority students. It basically serves students from North and South CCC not sure how many per schools. I think it’s somewhere around 500 students per year. The program gives each member a specific Berkeley advisor that keeps track of your progress at your community college depending on the region. They also invite you to workshops and events at Berkeley. I think the main key is the assistance they give you when working on your application.
Hopefully I’m not the 10-15% that gets rejected.
