What is UNC's?

UNC is too broad to be specialized...a lot of out-of-staters come for its journalism program, though.

what's UNC's reputation in Math an/or CS?

thanks

The math program is OK (top 40 IIRC according to USNews, and 39 by the old NRC ranking), and the CS program is pretty good (top 20 in USNews; only 29 by NRC, but CS has changed rapidly since the last NRC report was published).

not sure about math, but UNC is well known for Journalism, Buisness, Pre-law and Pre-med.

How's the physics program, specifically? I'd assume since they are good with pre-med (sciences) that they are at least decent with physics.

hmmmm, well from what I've heard physics sucks. I've never heard anything positive about physics at carolina.

How's the Biomedical Engineering program? I assume its pretty good given NC State has pretty good engineering and UNC has great medical...

Anyway, I'm a junior transfer and thats going to be my major. And I'm def. doing the extended MS program (or PhD if I can).

do we have biomedical engineering at UNC?

it was my understanding that Carolina didn't have any engineering programs.

its a joint program between UNC and NC State

ya they have biomedical engineering. its decent at both schools. i was gonna do that career pathway but my counselor said the job opportunity is looking quite bleak :-/ so i changed it lol

yea, I honestly have not even looked into the job market for biomed engineers as I plan on attending law school and working in intellectual property.
