What is Unique in Your High School

My school was undefeated in Track for 30-odd years. Then we lost to some 'roid user.

We also have really amazing Band and Drama programs: the band, not the football team (which is decent only as of this year), is the main attraction at games, and the Drama Club sold out a 900-plus-change-seat auditorium 4 times for our last fall musical.

We have a block schedule system and my school favors the rich. At least when they donate money or something.

Anyhow there isn't really anything special or good about my school, I kinda hate it.

Ummm it's a magnent program with law, business, finance and culinary(im in law :D) but its in the middle of the ghetto. The only reason ot has the magnent program is because the district was going to shut it down because there was not enough students going there.

Umm we went back to traditional schedule(which I HATE)

Oh one of our science teachers is the biggest hippie EVER he has the beard and everything..he even has a tie dye labe coat lmao.

one of the ap's lost her husband to a spanish teacher at another school. So now she really cracks down on the spanish girls.

That's about it besides the fact our school has 'voluntary segragation' iin the main hall it's like all the spanish, then the blacks and then the whites lol.

We are huge, (2,500ish)

We are pretty preppy (Abercrombie & Fitch is practically a school uniform, though there are some outliers who opt out of dressing in that fashion)

We are ridiculously competitive, to the point where we cheat, steal, and sabotage each other.

We have a lot of really slutty girls, it's actually what our school is most known for.

btw, the post switching has been happening to me too.

at our school we have 20 minute breaks after each period with the exception being between 2nd and 3rd period (lunch), 4 periods a day.

after reading sevitagen's post, i could have sworn we went to the same school, but i live in cali.

I just graduated, but whatever.
1. small, private all girls school, non-religious
2. after 2nd period we got a 25 minute break for whatever (snack, advisee meetings on thursday, etc)
3. we had advisors
4. after lunch we had a 40 minute break for activities (clubs or just a break)
5. rotating schedule on a 7 day basis (what you have 6th one day you'd have 3rd the next, then 2nd, then 7th and it keeps going; it's really easy once you learn it)
6. more freedom than any other school I know

Most anal-retentive administration ever.

Large percent of students have never even heard of SAT II's.

About 5 student pregnancies every year.

my school is in the shape of a dome...everybody says that it looks like a flying saucer

we're a small vocational school ranked 7th in the country.

we have a huge research lab with lots of state of the art stuff.

our principal knows every single student by their first and last name, and even what their personality is like.

this is due to having class size of 60-70 and total school size of about 250.

we have open lockers (because of incredible trust/honor).

After sevitagen's post, I too could have sworn that we went to the same school.

But I live in 'Zona.

I live in california, everyone wears Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. 2400 students. 50% white, 20% mexican, 15% asian, 10% black, 5% other. We are racist, sexist, and really smart. little peaceful college town. some slutty girls. some jocks. a few asians studying their butts off and pretty much pwning the entire school (I'm one of them). yep, i enjoy the feeling when I own everyone else in tests, quizzes, grades, exams, competitions.

Half of us are bisexual, green-haired theater kids and the other half are gang-
banging thugs.

wow, southeasttitan, that would make for an interesting school day.

I'm in California.

^ Wow, that's really unique Invoyable.

What's unique about my school?

The one black kid surrounded by hundreds of white, rich, preppy Catholics...

sevitagen's school sounds alot like mine too, except we have close to 4,000 kids and caucasians are a minority to asians and mexicans.

all girls

we recently just moved into a new building (i dont know of many other schools that have moved their location)

My School was supposed to be 30 classrooms, one story high; but by mistake it was built straight up 30 stories.

The 19th story does not exist. The reason is that the building was inadvertently built with story 20 directly on top of story 18.
