I've been looking around the Cornell website and found something about winter session. Do most people do this? Is it optional? According to the calendar I looked at, winter session starts the day after Christmas!! ugh.

It's optional and most people don't do it. It's a good way to pick up a quick 3 credits if you want to speed up graduation or graduate on time in the spring.

haha yes winter session is REQUIRED. you MUST spend 3 extra weeks in 50 feet of snow and -100 degree temperature!!!!

but seriously....the classes don't start the 26th, they start the 2nd of january, the "term" just starts on the 26th or something but the college is closed until the 2nd. so yea. i'm thinking about doing it next winter actually but if the classes then are the same as they are this winter, i would have no need to. they should expand the course offerings at least a little bit. whatever, it's not my business.
