What is with ACT essay readers...?

<p>I'm honestly so confused. The SAT readers seem to be much more level headed and willing to give the correct grades. </p>

<p>For example, on the March SAT I got a 12 on the essay, but on the February ACT I got an 8. The latter was longer and, in my opinion, a better essay. I don't see how it's even possible to get above an 8 or 9, and even most people with 33+ scores on CC seem to have 8s or 9s. </p>

<p>Has anyone else experienced something like this? Thanks! :)</p>

<p>10-12 are all in the 99 percentile so it is obviously hard to get above an 8 or 9. That being said I don’t know why they make it so hard to get a 10-12 but it is intentional and the same for everyone.</p>
