What is Yale Admissions Doing Right Now?

^Agreed. I try to stay off cc as much as possible because I have so many other things to get done…haha

I wish I would’ve applied SCEA to Yale, so I could find out in a few days :(

I think if I was just waiting until April to find out I could put this in the back of my mind and not worry so much about it…

Oh trust me you do NOT want to have one of your good friends also applying SCEA. If we have different decisions, I see this being exceedingly awkward/bad.

^Same… My best friend also applied SCEA :s
I don’t even know how we’re gonna tell each other… Suggestions?

^ Ohh, that’d be tough if you guys end up getting different decisions. If a best friend ends up getting a better decision, I would try to be happy for them, even though it’d kill me inside. If you end up getting a better decision, I would try to respect their feelings as much as possible. My guess is that you’ll both end up asking each other what the other got very soon after decisions are released. If you do get accepted while he/she doesn’t, you have a right to be happy. Just be courteous of their feelings, too. Of course, getting the same decision would be easiest haha.

On a (random) side note, Charlie is my favorite name. Charlotte/Charlie is definitely one of the top names on my list of what I’d name my daughter haha.

Try to imagine getting a different decision from your twin brother…

Charleh- same! It was honestly kind of weird initially, cause she was supposed to do Stanford REA but missed the supplement deadline and did it last minute. Then she didn’t get an interview and that made it pretty awkward. But we had a really funny discussion today in which we ended up laughing about how awesome it would be if we both got in. The important thing is, if we get different decisions, we’ll still be happy for each other. If I get rejected and she gets accepted, I know she’ll be sensitive enough to not mention it unless she’s consoling me, and vice versa. I’m sure it’s the same for you! And for your brother too impetuous. :)

(But yes, I realize it’ll hurt like hell.)

Yeah, I guess it’ll be fine. I can’t imagine how happy I’d be if we both got in… Best day of my life? :stuck_out_tongue: But if I’m accepted, he’s rejected / deferred and he asks me over skype / phone what I got, I don’t really know how I’ll tell him (like which tone of voice etc…). Well, I guess I’ll figure it out if I’m accepted, and this scenario is very unlikely anyway!
We’ve pretty much got the exact same profile and stats, except from SATs - mine are higher than his - (I haven’t read his essays nor our teacher recs so I can’t judge those). But IMO, if one of us gets in, the other probably will too.

Thanks for the compliment Spazzy, but there’s only one slight problem: I’m a guy  Charlie (which turned into Charleh) is my knickname haha

I’m gonna check my decision on the computer in the same room as my brother. i really don’t know how we are going to react to different decisions tho.

^^ Haha, oh, I figured you might be a guy. I was just pointing out how I like the name Charlotte/Charlie. xD Like I said. Random. Haha.

I read somewhere that a school (perhaps it wasn’t Yale, perhaps it was…) likes to give twins the same decision, though my memories of that article are a little fuzzy.

Yeah, I also read that Yale tries to give siblings the same decision.

Boola Boola, Boola Boola - Yale Says Yes, 4 Times
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/19/education/19yale.html

I remember reading this last year. QUADRUPLETS admitted SCEA. Wow. I wonder where they eventually ended up?

^ Due to my supreme Facebook stalking skills, all four ended up at Yale.

Yes, I am the creepiest person to have ever existed. Nbd.

My Facebook stalking skills reveal that Kenny and Martina are at Yale.

^ lol your skills are better than mine. I only found 2/4.

Edit: Never mind, found all of them.

XD I like that that was both our first thought.

All I have to do now is find 3 other people who look just like me and I’ll be set… :D

well hopefully there are no extremely talented quadruplets applying SCEA this year…

But what if one twin sucks, and one’s awesome–and they reject the awesome one!!!
