I was wondering what the normal age for high school graduation in the US is? Because someone said that 14 turning 15 is young for a sophomore, but that's pretty much the usual in Australia.

Also I'll be 16 when i graduate from high school. Is this very young or what?

16 is young to graduate from HS in the US. My son will graduate at 16, but he skipped a grade. He is considered "young" for his grade. Most students in the US graduate from HS at 18. Different states have different cut off dates for beginning school (Kindergarten in the US). For example, in Texas, a student must be five by Sept 1 to begin Kindergarten. In New York, a student must be five by Dec 31 (used to be this way, not sure if it's still the same). So, depending on the state, a student may be slightly older or younger when they graduate. Also, it's becoming relatively common, for parents to "hold their kids back" a year and let them start Kindergarten a year late, even though they are eligible by age to begin school. These kids would be 19 when they graduate, but on average, I would say most are 18 when they graduate. Is it common in Australia to graduate at 16 and start college? Does this mean most have a bachelor's degree at 20? I don't know much about the Australian education system.
