What is Your Biggest Distraction?

When it comes to doing work?

Mine would most definately be AIM. If it were never invented, I wonder how f-ing good my grades would be...

the computer and more specifically the internet.

but really it's just my deep rooted bad habit that i very much dislike working.

TV, sleep, and feeling like f*** it.

tv, internet esp. AIM, i start thinking about other stuff when i start studying...

beautiful women.

beautiful women.

I second that

ditto prev two posts. actually, beautiful/ugly people distract me period. sign/shiver
no ones mentioned cc yet. let me be the first

bugs too. i hate bugs

Benz-you are the man.

Beautiful women-I third that

the screen i'm staring at right now

Daydreaming, forums, and whenever I impulsively install one of my old computer games again - and then play it to death (yes, I wasted two entire days on the DEMO of Populous 3; I was trying to conquer the enemy with creative ways, including sending all of my villagers to kill the enemy).

Oh - and statistics too. Denver's weather, specifically.

most definently AIM and probably if it werent for college basketball being on all the time, my grades would be sufficiently better!!

I swear I have ADD...oh lookey snow!

AIM definitely. But even if that was never invented it would be the phone. basically anything to talk to friends. There were a few weeks where I was up to 2 every night talking to one guy. I've got some control over that now- it's just like 12 every night now.

CC, aim, girls

AIM, CC, anything (seriously).

i'm the most inefficent worker ever. if i get started, sometimes i can go on a roll, but i'm big on multi tasking and taking little breaks every three minutes. like last week i studied gov for an hour and a half, but it was more like 45 minutes of real studyng because i'd read for five minutes and then take five minutes to just stare at the wall. but gov is kind of mind numbing like that.

aim isn't really a distraction, more part of my multitasking routine. it all means less sleep, but i function better that way.

internet (shameless procrastination) and libraries (No, I don't know what telomeres are, but allow me to expound on the metaphors in...)

Internet, and more specifically CC and AIM; and i guess daydreaming, sleeping, and music to second that

Food. It paves way for conversations that pave way for laughter and eruptions of giggling that bring out my inner child to come out and play and ignore work. Stupid children. > <

Oh and AIM + any type of forums. (The BBS!) There is a certain sense of accomplishment when one finishes reading a thread. It's indescribable and I'm sure you all know what it feels like.

Also, receiving compliments, (either in written form or in real life), tend to be distractions for me. I tend to bask under the warm sunlight of flattery. I enjoy savoring every morsel of it- no matter how farfetched it may be in reality. I love it.

Wow. I am a weirdo.

(And yes I did add bits and pieces to exaggerate things.)

Giggle. :D

AIM, LJing/blogging, CC, music, Internet, TV, feeling the need to procrastinate on a huge project the day before it's due and finishing it 10 minutes before class, video games, friends, sleeping, saying "screw it. I'll bs the hw/test/project somehow and pull out with an A", stuffed animals, interesting books, yearbooks/nostalgic-type stuff, my ipod, the need to go shopping, cooking, my siblings who barge into my room at random, the fact that my clock says 1am

I think that's a sufficient list. It's amazing that I still have (slightly above) average stats (compared to everyone on CC)
