so I go to a very academic london school
we are known, in the london school world for supposed:

academic pressure-cooker atmosphere
anorexia/bulimia/nervous breakdowns/self-harming
competitiveness
good exam results
loserishness. to the point that people freak out when I tell them where I’m from
good college results

altogether an EXTREMELY negative viewpoint, which has not been true for me. I’ve never been anorexic (or anything else) and am a very noncompetitive person who is social. Nevertheless, the atmosphere in school is CRAZY right about now…people breaking down in tears all over the place.

According to NEWSWEEK, my high school is the highest-ranking high school in Georgia.
(Which is surprising because it’s a public school, and it beat out all the private schools.)

a few people on the mtv show ‘made’,
infamous because last year a superfan punched a cocky player on the opposing team., we have a decent basketball team (5th in state last year). which reminds me the irony of that. one of the star players smoked ciggerates… so pathetic, chiseling down a great talent

HS in MD
Famous For:
30% Asians, 30% Jews.
Sucky football team.
State champs in ice hockey.
OAR went there.
98% Graduation rate
24th best school in the country.
6 years ago the cheerleaders were involved in a scandal… apparently they took “provocative” pics of themselves…

I go to the same school as the OP went for high school. Here’s an update:
-Our high school football team was all over the Internet for an epically bad play. They blocked a field goal in the last seconds and ran off to celebrate, while the other team grabbed the still live ball and scored a touchdown.
-Our orchestra has been featured in educational videos for the Dept. of Education.
-Our choirs are singing at Carnegie Hall under Eric Whitacre this year.
-Our marching band is consistently in the top 10 at Grand Nationals.

my high school should be famous for being incredibly average and not producing anything but average people. Who lead average lives. In average states and making an average salary and eating average food.

I attend a competitive private school. People here have a reputation for being “stuck-up rich kids” who dress and act like “preps”. This is definitely not the truth - I’m a new student this year and have found my classmates to be more welcoming than those at my previous school - although they DO come from affluent families in the Ann Arbor area.

greasy unmicrowaved pizzas
ugly fat girls
no school spirit
too many interdistrict transfers
stupid principal
stupid teachers who dont teach
busy work

We’re famous for… being online? It’s a young school, so really nothing, though lately we’ve been getting a lot of publicity from the news. We also have a lot of students who compete in nation-wide athletic competitions, especially figure skating.
