What is YOUR killer extra curricular?

<p>Thought I'd make this creative thread. Maybe the users of college confidential can learn from this. Try narrowing it down to atleast 3, since the common app asks for 7.</p>

<p>Mine are:
Year Book Creation: For 4 years, I created the entire yearbook on my own.
Publication: Publication in various forms (magazines, etc)
Athletics: National Chess Championship Attendee, And I do decent things in track. (Got city champion for triple jump)</p>

<p>Lame, but I don't have many chances/opportunities.</p>

<p>In other words, which extra curricular are you most proud of.</p>

<p>Senior Company Dance Member - Co-Captain, trained in almost all types of dance, I spend my life at my studio that I’m not home studying or at school/other rehearsals
Musical/Theater/Drama/Etc. - I’ve been in all of my shows in High School and have played some crazy roles, from a Spanish terrorist to Edna from Hairspray!
Chorus - I’ve been in Jazz Choir, Chorale, Vocal Ensemble, Chorus, and All South Jersey Chorus, and I plan on auditioning for All State!</p>

<p>started my own henna tattooing buiseness? and then expanded by training and recruiting several other high-schoolers in my company? It was hard work, but idk if it’s a killer ec.</p>

<li><p>One of the top three student government leaders in one of the most competitive schools in the United States.</p></li>
<li><p>Varsity runner on our cross country, indoor, and outdoor track teams, all of which have had undefeated seasons for the last two years and championships wins this and last season.</p></li>
<li><p>Two years spent observing and studying neurosurgery first-hand and sitting in on neuroscience conferences in MGH.</p></li>
</ol>

<li>Alpine Ski Race: Incredible hours and talent needed</li>
<li>Music: Jazz band, pep band, regular, orchestra winds, leader in multiple things</li>
<li>Theatre: Crew Captain, all school performances so far</li>
<li>Boy Scouting: Eagle Scout, National Youth Leadership Training staff, senior staff; 2010 national jamboree leader; camp staff; interpreter in spanish, lifeguard, it goes on and on.</li>

<li>Soccer- Three-year varsity starter, two-year varsity captain, All-county, regional ODP team, coach youth club team</li>
<li>Student government- class representative and member-at-large</li>
<li>Quiz Bowl- team captain</li>

<p>Irish dance, went to Ireland about 5ish years ago for a championship.</p>

<p>Orchestra, including pit orchestra for the spring musical.</p>

<p>Job- Office Administrator for an IT company.</p>

<p>I like to think mine are pretty cool:</p>

<p>1.) Host and Treasurer of the sole teen television talk-show in the Virgin Islands, “Graffiti Street.”</p>

<p>2.) President and State President of Student Council</p>

<p>3.) United Nations Scholars Program (took a two-week trip to study at the UN earlier this year.)</p>

<p>Softball - love my softball team, last year when the program was cut big time because of lacross becoming big we made it to the playoffs for the first time in 20 years and came within 3 innings of winning the first county championship for softball in school history <3 I personally won the award for being most devoted to the team, softball has been my sport for my whole life and I have such a love for it</p>

<p>head altar server at my church - my big community service lol</p>

<p>job at family farm - spend 50 hours a week there in the summer and around 20 rest of year, def big thing I will stress on apps lol</p>

<p>Xdarkness, I hear you about limited programs being offered. Besides sports my school has nothing</p>

<li>Science research–I’m really involved with an awesome museum. I took classes there last year, I’m collaborating on research there this year, and I’m going to do outreach and/or classes and/or more research next year. Also, I’m probably going to do a Siemens or Intel project this summer.</li>
<li>Art–A hobby rather than a passion for me, but I spend a LOT of time on it XD</li>
<li>Literary magazine–I only started this year, but I’m involved with all aspects of it (writing, layout, etc.)</li>
</ol>

<p>1) 15+ hours of work per week at a job I’ve held for 5 years.</p>

<p>2) Internship at Private equity firm this summer for 10hrs per week.</p>

Israeli Krav-Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (numerous awards for competition and abou 3 and 6 years respectively) </p>

<p>Those are probably my main EC’s. My school runs extracurricular things pretty badly.</p>

<p>Athletics: Captain of the Girls Tennis Team that took Runner-up at States last year.
Education: Intern at a University in Taiwan in BME and helped write a research paper.
Community: A co-founder of a program that teaches Taiwanese elementary students to speak, read, and write in English.</p>

<p>To prevent any confusion, I go to school in the US :)</p>

<p>I’m Swedish, so we don’t have any clubs or that kind of ECs, but…</p>

<p>Co-founder, Vice CEO and Marketing Director at own beverage company that developed the world’s first anti-stress drink. Sold it to several retailers, appeared 10 min on Dragons’ Den, and won silver medal at Sweden’s biggest entrepreneurship contest (5500+ competing companies).</p>

<p>I’m not sure if this counts as much since I’m at such a small school, but:</p>
