What is your Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?

The mentee application asked for this.

I took a couple of free tests for fun and they both said I am an ENFJ.

Now I’ll have to figure out what that means.

Are you a student or a parent, riprorin? (I always thought you were a parent on CC…now I’m confused.) Which mentee application are you speaking about?

Lots of resources out there for this. The UH mentoring classes do this too.

Take the test:

Results:

I’m borderline between ESFJ and ENFJ.

aeromom, I’m a parent. I just took the test for fun.

TNTide5, what does the university do with the data, i.e. what’s the point?

The university doesn’t do anything with it. It’s just a way for the students to analyze themselves and figure out who they are as students and how they interact with others. It’s mainly just a point of discussion for the class.

Thanks. Makes sense. Self-awareness is a good thing. For the mentee program, I presume they’ll use the info to help make matches.

I’ve been impressed by how the university seems to work with kids on their soft skills.

ENTP

T preference has dropped a bit over my parenting years, the others have stayed about the same.

Class2012Mom, thanks, that was pretty funny,

ESTJ.
Prayer fits to a “T”. Another week before the high school band board meeting for me to come up with all of my ideas even if they are not even related to MY position. LOL!

After taking these “tests” with the career center, you can meet with an adviser who will discuss your results with you. Also, she discusses how your major fits into your interests & personality style. AND (my favorite part), she can give you lists of careers and areas of study that people with your specific personality type typically enjoy and thrive doing. Super informative!

I took this years ago. It is a hoot. I am ENFJ - the synopsis said it was a charismatic leader type. Then it went on to say Jim Jones (cult leader from 80s) was an ENFJ.
