<p>I think its interesting to see how many people are finding offense toward the Indian mascot. I know a school nearby that has an Indian as a mascot and the students often refer to themselves as the redskins. Its been there for years and no one has cared so far. If you ever went to the area were the school is located every single shop and restaurant is decorated with the schoolā€™s mascot and motto. </p>

<p>I once asked a classmate of mine who was of Native American heritage how she felt about it. All she said was, ā€œOf course theyā€™ll use an Indian. Everyone else sucks except us.ā€</p>
