Normally I use notebooks. I'm too disorganized for binders... I never get around to hole punching anything and when I buy a binder, I just shove all the papers into the pocket at the front of it, which then rips, and then I transfer all the papers into a folder, which then rips from overuse.

I really wish I was organized enough to use binders, because they really can be helpful.

I have 1 marble notebook and 1 folder for each class, but no binders. I hate binders (they take up too much space and are annoying to keep organized). I have another folder that I just keep filled with loose leaf. I also don't really like to use a planner.

my pet peeve is when teachers tell you what you need to get to be organized for their class. for the past two years, though, i've generally ignored it, done my own thing, and it's been fine.

I'm an organizational freak but surprisingly keep it pretty basic with school stuff. Up until this year I've had one folder and notebook for each class and then one additional folder for school handouts, clubs, etc. However since I always have half-used notebooks I have since gotten a five subject notebook divided by class, and a graph paper notebook for math.

I have 1-inch binders for all my classes except for math, for which I have a notebook and folder. I have so many binders because I like to keep everything together, and I hate cleaning my binders out, so I could store months of notes in my binders, which makes life easier come midterms.

And I use a planner. Check out the book: Where's my Stuff? by Samantha Moss with Lesley Schwartz. It's really useful (definitely worth buying) and you can find it at Barnes and Noble.

No orginazation. All my papers are ripped crumpled pencile lead smeared everywhere. I once turned in an essay that was crumpled as a ball. I uncrumpled did well on the essay though. I always say i will have a sep notebook in beginning of year, but by the 2nd week all my papers are stuffed in my backpack mixed and torn. I know this is bad and i ma survin h.s, but its gonna bite me in college.
