I have a 95% average at an IB school, 760 on my SAT 2 Bio, 650 in SAT 2 Math 1, a 30 on my ACT. I am an active participant in a charity, have been to Kenya with them twice, and a potential member of the Board of Directors. I also row. I am a prefect at school (1/12 elected by students and staff). What do you think? Are there Ivies I could get into?

Your tests could hurt your chances, but I wouldn’t say it is out of the question. Especially with doing charity in Kenya, colleges eat that stuff up. I dont know much about the SAT but I do know 650 is weak, -SAT 2 math 1? 650? - for ivy and I know 30 on the ACT is on the lower end of Average at most Ivies.

So I would say its not likely unless you boost a couple of those test scores. I would maybe say apply to Brown, Cornell, or maybe UPenn but not to get too hopeful. That being said, I honestly do wish you the best of luck. Cause I know I will need it too.

i think if you have some good extracurriculars, and if your guidance office has some influence, you have a pretty decent chance at some of the lower level ivies. harvard, yale and princeton… i think you shouldn’t expect an acceptance, to be honest. i apologize if i come across as rude, but i’m just saying what i honestly think.

can you chance back?
