What ivies/top 25 schools are the least selective?

University of Michigan...you can't beat a 60% admit rate.

BTW, Michigan is #25. yay :)

I would agree that WUSTL would be relatively easier through ED because it would assuage their fears about yield. Also, according to Princeton Review, Brown's avg SAT is 1390, not mid 1400s.

Flopsy, Vanderbilt is not the easiest out of the top 25. The acceptance rate this year was 31% Overall/ 27% for Arts and Science.

I'd say Michigan is the easiest to get into (50%+) admit rate.

University of Michigan...you can't beat a 60% admit rate.

yea, but if you're oos it's the same as its' counterparts and Ross is as selective as Stern

I think this is stupid. When you get into the top 25, it's mostly a crapshoot.

Without using Early Decision or "backup" schools like the Nursing School at UVA or something, the Top 25's are a bit of a crapshoot. Look at the UCLA thread this year to see that even in-staters with near perfect scores are getting rejected.

4.0 val got rejected from UCLA whereas a 3.4 student with same e/cs and easier courseload got in at my school
same ethnicity (in fact, the val has no parents and lives with her sister, whereas the 3.4 has a millionaire dad... go figure)

crapshoot indeed

yea even UCLA can be considered as a crapshoot, although most top (in-state) applicants (i.e. ivy league material) should be much more comfortable about their chances at UCLA than at most of the other top 25. but if you're just an above average student or a good student, then you can still get a "random rejection" at UCLA.

what about wellesley?

Agree with Jimmy in post #39. You can't just compare schools, the major makes a difference. If you're applying to a school's signature business or engineering program, for ex., it'll be tougher to get in than if you're planning on studying Slavic languages. The problem is, you have to make a convincing case for your interest in that esoteric major, which would be hard to near impossible to fake well enough to get into an Ivy.
