What jobs can one get with a PhD in Engineering

I am interested in getting a PhD in either Biomedical, chemical or aerospace engineering. I am just wondering what sort of jobs are available to PhDs’ in and outside of Academia (I am more interested in getting a job outside of academia.

Professorships in academia. Outside academia, there’s industry and national labs. In industry, you’ll generally be involved in R&D as a lead researcher/scientist, or you can do consulting. And, of course, quants often have a place in finance, if you want to do that.

Thanks a lot. I want to make sure that I won’t be constrained to an academic job as a professor
