music for seven years, flute and saxophone
extensive volunteering at UCSF children's hospital
three years mock trial

Please help!

Hi ,
you have a high SAT and a high GPA , I guess you want to study arts or music in college so I would recommend you to apply into those colleges (but it depends where you want to go, in the South ? close to home ?a small or a huge college ?) :
NYU
Colgate university
Oberlin college

You can try the Ivies but think that even if your grades and your scores are good. It’s extremely competitive but you can try, you never know

If your major is going to be something related to art, then youre a good candidate. But if you say engineering EC’s would be weak as theyre only about music.
Do you need an advice for school list or?

Your scores are good enough to get you into 98 or 99% of the colleges in the US, maybe even higher if you have compelling ECs.

How much time do you have (that is, are you a jr or a sr)? Are finances a consideration? Do you have a preference for large universities, small colleges, or something in between? Have you visited any place yet that you really like? Looking at east coast, west coast, or in between?

You should put together a list of reaches/matches/safeties, and all of them should be schools where you see yourself fitting in and excelling. It really pays to visit each campus, if at all possible.

Remember, at a place like Oberlin you might have to apply to both the college AND the conservatory. Do adequate research, and leave yourself some time to adjust your strategy if need be.
