What kind of ECs would put LSA kids in the range for Ross?

I'm going to apply to Ross while at LSA (Econ). Assuming that I have a 3.6 GPA and good essays, what kind of ECs does Ross look for in an internal transfer applicant? Obviously leadership positions would be one, but how does one go by acquiring these kind of positions?

list of Ross clubs:
[Career Interests - Stephen M. Ross School of Business](<a href=“Browse All Clubs & Organizations | Michigan Ross”>Browse All Clubs & Organizations | Michigan Ross)

Note that even though these clubs are funded by Ross, they’re allowed to accept non-Ross kids memberships. But there will clubs which say Pre-admits/Ross students only. From what I hear, joining one does give an applicant a bit of a “push”, but many students join without being in one of those clubs.

You are usually best off pursuing something you’re interested in rather than something that “will look good to Ross”.

There is one poster who thinks MCSP will help him get into Ross while he is telling others he did it just get out of living on North Campus.

It is more obvious than you think whether you’re activities are related to a genuine interest or if they are an insincere attempt to get into Ross.

If I’m genuinely interested in say community service, then how exactly will Ross know that genuine interest and not think of it as an admission booster?

My son got accepted by Ross this year. He did activities that interested him. He joined a office in the student government (this office dispensed funding for student clubs e.g. Asian American club etc.) -due to his interest in student gov. and an improv group, since he is interested in theater and acting.

Join something that you are passionate about and that will allow you to highlight your strengths if you had to write about it. I just got in to ross and I had absolutely 0 extracurriculars that were business related.
