What kind of engineering to study??

Hi all, I recently got accepted to Purdue University as a nutrition major transfer student but I really want to apply to change to first year engineering. I’m pretty sure I can get in as they guarantee the change if u take 3 requirement classes and get at least a 3.2 GPA (not high at all). I want to do engineering because I am into solving problems, challenges and I am a very logical person.

Things I am into as of now:
-chemistry
-astronomy
-evolution
-space exploration

I don’t know if I would like physics because I didn’t take it in community college and I never studied properly in high school. I am pretty good at chemistry. Don’t like math but quite solid at it. I tried narrowing my options down to mechanical vs electrical vs chemical. I don’t want to do aerospace unless it’s for a master’s degree. How do I go about making this decision?

Take Transforming Ideas to Innovation I which is an First Year Engineering class. One of the goals of this class is to examine and analyze career information to make informed decisions about your choice of an engineering major. Don’t feel like you need to know what kind of engineering you want before you get there because there is a lot you don’t know about all the fields yet. Use this time to discover. Something will spark your interest.
