What kind of envelope for Recs?

<p>I know this may sound petty but I was wondering if colleges prefer it if application stuff (recs, midyear reports, etc) are sent in the big 8.5x11 manila envelopes or are the regular ones from your high school okay? My teacher said some colleges don't want the documents to be folded ">_<</p>

<p>yes, use the big manilla envelopes. Most docs these days are scanned into a computer at the admissions office, which is the reason they don't want them folded.</p>

<p>floridastudent-- I agree w/ menloparkmom...big envelopes, and make sure you put plenty of postage on them if you are handing them over to rec-writing teachers or your GC.</p>
