I am at Penn State (UP) and recently I have the highest feeling that Penn State deflates grades and are doing it a lot more. This semester alone I took 4 classes that didn't curve grades at all (tests, exams), and each one required a 95 to get an A in.

Some of my other classes were less harsh, (92.5 = A) but again, no curving of tests, and a lot of work needed (A few 20 page papers from one of my classes, along with countless smaller essays (5-10 pages) and journals. I thought Penn state was considered an INFLATED school, but from what I've seen, these classes are far from easy when it came to work and grading systems.

Is Penn State finally starting to shake off the "Party School" image by smacking down the grades? I mean, 5/6 of my classes were completely ruthless to the kids in it (one kid cried!). I could be wrong, but I see a trend forming!

I'm not sure this is the best form to put this under, but I know this has a lot of relevance to transferring.. :)
