What kind of professions do you go into?

I really like the idea of Law School (considerably more than business school and MUCH more than med school)...but I've always had a restraint. In my naive opinion, the only job you can go into with a law degree that pays as well as a business degree would be to become a lawyer. I like the idea of being a lawyer as well, but I would never want to defend someone when I knew he/she was guilty. That would haunt me and make all my accomplishments worthless. But, if you're a lawyer, chances are that at some point you will be forced to defend someone who you think is guilty or possibly lose your job. What else do people with a law degree do besides becoming the typical lawyer you see on TV? How is corporate law different from public law?

I'm sorry if I sound dumb a/b this...but up until this point I've focused solely on business school and know nothing about law.

there are plenty of threads on this forum that discuss what it is like to be a lawyer -- go back and read some. tv is a pretty poor place to learn about what it is like to be a lawyer.

ok...anyone have any actual answers to my question a/b corporate law and other professions that ppl go into from law school. I don't mind searching old threads, but I'd prefer saving myself the time if someone has the answer to these two or three threads.

people who graduate law school but don't wanna be lawyers do stuff like -

ibanking, risk arb trading, consulting, and there are probably other options available.

I've also heard of sports agents and movie agents having legal degrees.

I'm sure there are people in Real Estate dev with law degrees too.
