<p>Extremely low just compared to the data they release. Much lower GPA, rank and scores.</p>
<p>Well, I'm from India, I spoke English, but I had to learn a whole lot of stuff when I came to the US. I mean, in five years, I went from culturally retarded to the Academic Bowl Captain. That took some serious studying, learning, whatever you call it. Now, most people think I'm messing with them when I tell them I came here five years ago.</p>
<p>^That's actually very impressive. If you express it like that in your short answers, that'll be a big plus.</p>
<p>Thanks. I guess thats the kind of commitment to learning that I'm trying to demonstrate to colleges. I know my GPA sucks, but my teachers can vouch for my knowledge of the material they teach me. I'll get brilliant recs from most of them.</p>

<p>No, unfortunately. But, I am sure that I can ace every single class in my senior year. If I did that, would that help? At first, I didn't really care about my school grades, but by the time I realized, it was too late (halfway through sophomore year). Then, I got fatalistic. I decided to focus exclusively on what I could salvage on my resume. So, I spent insane amounts of time on a lot of other useful stuff, but just not that much on my grades. I figured it was bad enough as it was, wouldn't really make that much of a difference if it was a bit worse. Stupid, I know.</p>
<p>So, can I get into the U Michigan Ross Preferred Admit?</p>
<p>You can get into any school. I expect you to be admitted at 1-3 Ivies and most top non-Ivies. HYPS....ehh.</p>
<p>Sorry kid, I won't bet on the Ivys. Try for Vandy, NYU, etc. Stern at NYU is excellent if you want to get into finance.</p>
<p>Although you might not get into any Ivys, that still won't count you out for great schools.</p>
<p>i hate to say this about my fellow indian, but u arent headed for ivy leagues....u have to do better...ur ECs are EXTREMELY weak</p>
<p>ECs are definitely not weak berucla2009.
However, the rank will keep you out of any Ivies. That's not to say you won't get into some great schools though, you've definitely got an excellent shot at many other top schools.</p>
