Could someone tell me what kind of TV connection there is in the dorm rooms? Is there cable? Do we pay extra for the service or is it included? Or does TV come over the internet? If it matters, I need to know about Danforth.

Until a current student chimes in, I’ll provide what I know. When I did my overnight at WashU they had coax cable plugs in the wall for hooking up TVs to cable. I believe that it is included, but I’m not positive.

It’s included in the price of the rooms- so even for those of us without tv’s, we still have to pay. You can’t opt out.

It is included in the price of the room, and from what I understand you can order premium channels for an additional fee if you so choose. It is run through a company called Campus Televideo, and the channel listings can be found here: [url=<a href=“TV Listings- Find Local TV Listings and Watch Full Episodes - Zap2it.com”>TV Listings- Find Local TV Listings and Watch Full Episodes - Zap2it.com]TV Listings Guide and TV Schedule, Where to Watch TV Shows - Zap2it/url.

On the guide book, it says that each room as basic cable :O

so we have to bring/buy our own TV set to watch programs?..(though I personally don’t prefer a tv set in the dorm room… But i guess there must be one in the common area?)

For your room, you need your own TV if you want one (this is where coordinating with a roommate is a good idea. That and refridgerator/microwave). Otherwise, yes there are TV’s in common areas.

Just a quick suggestion- I’m planning on bringing a small TV that I’m going to hook up to my laptop to use as a second monitor via a video adapter [Apple DVI to Video Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.)](http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjE0NTg4NQ)
