What kinds of activities does your SGA plan?

Im just curious what other schools have going on, because I feel like my school is lacking compared to others.

The usual: dances, fundraisers, rallies, spirit days…mostly the stuff that those outside of ASB would be apathetic to.

We plan dances, fundraisers, rallies, spirit weeks…then we actually get to work :). We are pretty active: we organize all the sporting events, advertise for all clubs and activities, and we have booths out at lunch for different events everyday. We do a lot, and our USB is awesome.

What kinds of rallies do you guys have?
We have pep rally and this year just started a winter pep rally to kick off winter sports.
goodnoodle:what kind of events do these booths promote? Our NHS does EVERYTHING(blood drives, male charity pageant, freshman orientation & tours etc)so idk what is even left for us

shevane- We seem to also do all the things your NHS does. (Maybe cause we don’t have NHS) Like all this week we’ve been doing a cancer fundraiser, Talent show planning and tommorow we’re doing a blood drive. Our USB is completely student run. The adult advisor lets us do whatever as long as we don’t break rules.

My SGA plans most of the school functions for students and staff. This year, we planned Freshman Academy/Orientation/Open House, Homecoming, a Dessert Date with Domestic Violence victims and workers, a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, a Breast Cancer Charity Drive, a swap meet, and a love drive (one of my classmates house burned down). Also, we participate in the annual Black History Quiz Bowl (2nd place last year!) and Relay for Life (the annual non violent celebration that anyone can go to). So, we do a lot.
