What language should I take?

I know this isnt entirely relevant to this forum, but anyway...

I have to choose a language for the fall semester (not that, you know, the topic of this thread would have alluded to this...), and am stuck between Latin, German and French.

On the one hand, while I have the most experience with French (4 years), I absolutely hate it. It is relatively easy compared to Latin, however, and is clearly far more utilitarian.

Latin - I love Latin. Great language. Unfortunately, it is a ton of work, and it is not nearly as useful. While I will be pursuing a Poli Sci degree and possibly a law degree (where it may come in handy), I don't think that such advanced knowledge of the language is necessary. Also, I only have two years experience with it.

German - another great language. Easy too. Being in the United States, though, I will see minimal usage of it. I also only have one year's experience. It has already come in great handy for improving my English skills, however, and I really do love the language; I do not know how much work it may prove to be long-term, though.

My guidance counselor recommends Spanish, but I see absolutely no reason to take it. Sure, it is an extremely popular language and a large segment of our population speaks only Spanish - but I have no personal draw to it. Nor do I want to start off learning an entirely new language. So either way, Spanish is out of the picture.

Okay, all that said, here comes the question: put into this situation, which language would you choose?

judging by what you wrote, you dislike french, like latin but think its impractical, and really love german......to me it doesn't really seem like there's much of a decision
