What laptop are you taking to college?

Dv6t quad edition.

My scholarship laptop is a Dell Latitude E6520 (we get those the day before classes). They’re from the small business line, I think.

I’ll probably also configure/buy a HP dv7t.

Sager NP5165

I dont recommend the dv7t…I had one and it overheated SO bad and I had it crack at the hinge TWICE, it was a fluke too nothing I did to the laptop.

God, really? I can’t win here. I was pretty much between that and an XPS but I’m not a huge fan of Dell either. Perhaps I’ll reconsider a Toshiba.

I’d suggest a MacBook but that’s if it’s within your budget. I do think they are worth every penny though. You could probably get a refurbished MB or MBP at a better price.
Also I’ve never had a problem with anything not being compatible with my MB. I would suggest not getting iWorks and just get the student discount rate of microsoft office.

But I highly suggest you go to Best Buy where you can test out all the laptops they have on display there. Just play around with them and see which one you like best then start looking at the specs you need and want and then just narrow it down from there.

Just go with the XPS, it’s a really nice Dell.
