<p>Just to add to that:</p>
<p>International students (including those from US territories) should wait until they arrive on campus to order SCI computers. Vendors will not ship SCI computers to international addresses (including Canada and US territories).</p>
<p>Newegg has great laptops for cheap… 4G RAM, Dual core, discrete graphics card, etc for less than a thousand…</p>
<p>Regarding that install pack,
I’ve had a dell for about 3 years now without a single problem so I don’t really want to switch to a mac. Is there an equivalent engineering install for non-macs or will I be at a disadvantage?</p>
<p>@mansfieldpark: there’s definitely the same package for non-macs, and you’ll not be at a “disadvantage” at all.</p>
