What looks better for Med. School?

a degree with honors from a relatively unrecognized university or just a regular degree with no honors from a more recognized university?

Neither. Do well wherever you’re at.

so it doesn’t matter if u don’t graduate w/ honors, high honors, highest honors?

Graduating with honors is a function of your GPA and perhaps an honors thesis. Medical schools can look at your transcript and your AMCAS application for those. They don’t need some special honors committee to stamp “honors” on your diploma to realize that you have a good GPA and did quality research.

Affirming NCG: Of course, the high GPA and the thesis will, themselves, look good. But “honors” doesn’t matter.
