I have two choices for my last activity on CommonApp:
A.) NASA High School Aerospace Scholars (6 Month long online program detailing intricacies of aerospace and technology regarding Mars Exploration + onsite experience and work at JSC).
B.) Programming Instructor at a learning center in local community (Taught younger students basic programming and computer science principles through interactive labs and activities, designed new Python-based curriculum and expanded program.)
Why not both
I already have 9 filled and they have alot of meat to them
What do you plan to major in/hope to do? If you are an astro major or something like that, do #1. If you’re going for a more a charity person who starts organizations and stuff, go with #2.
Could A go under awards?
ALso how long was #2, it sounds like a longer term commitment and often longer/deeper = better. These are really good, are all of your other ones better?
@HKimPOSSIBLE I’m majoring in CS, the rest of my EC’s are more computer-science/engineering related
@TS0104 I believe the rest of my EC’s are stronger than these. You can check them out if you click on my profile and look at my “What CS Schools could I get into” post.
Then I’d do the charity because it gives a more nuanced list than just “Yeah, I’m a hardcore STEM” person. I’m just a student so this is just my opinion. Good luck!
