I doubt it will make a difference if neither is a prerequisite for your major.

lol which one is more practical? Pick that one…

Spanish is the 2nd language of California.

Either one is more practical.

I dont mind being culturally diverse but after living in California for 20 years i have never needed nor wanted to speak Spanish.

At this point it is just whatever looks better on a transcript.

Thanks

Unless you are a language major, it doesn’t matter which one you choose. Have you taken Levels 1 and 2 of both ASL and Spanish?

i would go with sign language bc half of Californians are mexicans or speak spanish so you wouldn’t stand out if u learned spanish anyway

it dun matta.

Are you going to be doing business with deaf people? If not, I would suggest picking up spanish 3 because the US is one of the top 3 largest spanish speaking nations on earth. It don’t matter if you live in California or not, if you wanna do business in spain, south america, mexico…etc you should pick up spanish. Why is this even a question? Who cares whats more competitive, what matters is what is USEFUL. Your only going to be competing for schools for a tiny fraction of your life. If it was about competitive then everyone would take latin, or classical greek (two of the hardest languages) but that’s not practical unless your getting a PHD, in which case it is required to do impressive language study.

I couldn’t have said it better myself vintij.

“Are you going to be doing business with deaf people?”

I could not have said it better either. I think the question was silly to begin with. Neither one is more competitive than the other. However, Spanish is waaaaaay more useful.
