What made Lukasz Zbylut such a competitive applicant?

maybe there are tons of applicants like him but just not as lucky to get in mostly everywhere though they are qualified.

I wonder why he didn't apply to Brown.

^^ I know why. He read my posts. :D

I mean just look at how he holds all his acceptance letters.

He was surely asked to do that by the newspaper photographer.

There was another user on this site who got into like every school he applied to. I won't give out his username, but these are the schools he was accepted to:

Californa Institute of Technology
Carnegie Mellon University
Columbia University
Cornell University
Duke University
Harvard University
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Princeton University
Stanford University
University of California - Berkeley
University of Chicago
Yale University

I'd say that's more impressive then seven ivy league schools.

^ was that a minority?

nope asian lol, he hasn't come on here since he left for college

He was Asian and he got into all those schools?! That deserves national coverage.

wow, this person must've won awards like Intel, Siemens, International Olympiads, etc

^probably. euphoria, do you know what kind of applicant he was like?

An indian kid from my school last year got into: HYPS, Northwestern, U of C (probably some other schools I dont know of).

Its possible.

Well, he seems like a very interesting applicant. I'd like him at my college. He'd put a little flare in discussions and give new perspectives on things. Plus, he sounds genuine.

The valedictorian of every class at my school always gets into Cornell, Princeton, and Yale without fail. It's Harvard that they're never sure of. Only one person was able to gain admission to Harvard in the last 4 years.

I think that was stupidkid? Or am I wrong?

Every year some students got into every single top college to which they applied, including all ivies, which is not very unusual. I am sure there are students who can be admitted to ALL of the top universities in the whole world. These students are certainly talented, diligent and deserving. Nevertheless, most of them are from affluent families and have highly educated parents who nurture, inspire and coach them since a young age. We are not even talk about those applicants with special hooks that every school is looking for. I wonder if anyone can show me a few kids who are from low-income or a single-parent families and yet is accepted to all ivies.

The fact that one applicant is accepted to all of the most selected schools is exactly one of the unfair aspects of college admissions. When one student is accepted to all ivies and he/she can only attend one at the end, 6 or 7 equally qualified and or deserving students have to be rejected at the same time. Is this a fair system? I don’t think so. Should there be a limit on the number of ivies that one can apply? For instance, one can apply up to 4 ivies. I am sure many people will not like this idea, until you are the one who get rejected or put on a waiting list to suffer through a 9-month long admission process, being rejected two or three more times before it is all over.

was he an international student????????????

stupidkid or who ever llpitch mentioned is a freak of nature. I wanna eat his brain

That's an interesting issue.

But I think in general applicants who are accepted to ALL of the most selective colleges in the country are quite rare. Besides the eight colleges in the Ivy League

Ivy League - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

there are a few others that are comparable selective, and it's still very rarely seen that an applicant who applies to five or more colleges from that group gets into all of them.
